  How to Make Disney Smart Pass Work For You

  Visiting Disneyland was one of the best experiences that I have ever had.  All of the attractions for the children as well as adults heeps everyone busy.  So busy you will barely have time to breath.  If your not careful you can easily spend an entire day just trying to get through a park.

  With so many rides at Disney and so many people it is sometimes difficult to be able to get on a ride.  The lines are just too long to wait.  Some of the wait times can get to one to two hours for just one ride.  That being the case Disney needed to find a way to get people on the ride without having them wait such an extended period of time.  Introducing Fast Pass.

  Fast pass is a way to get an ticket for a ride and have a ride time assigned to you.  All you have to do is make it back to the ride during your ride time and you are able to get right onto the ride.  Or at least just wait 5 to 10 minutes.

  Here is how it works.

  1. Go to the ride that you want to ride.
  2. Find the fast pass machines
  3. Insert your park pass into the fastpass machines.
  4. A ticket will be distributed to you with a time to return.
  5. Return to the the ride during you time.
  6. Get in the fast pass line.
  7. Ride the attraction.

  Here are a few tips:

  1. Make sure to get you fastpass tickets early.  Unfortunately, Disney does not distribute these tickets the entire day.  So, it is best to get to the parks early and get all your fastpass tickets very early.  I found by 1:00 or 2:00 pm all the fast pass tickets for all rides in each park are gone.
  2. Epcot does not allow you to get multiple fast pass tickets.  Can you imagine how disappointing it was to find out that Epcot would not allow people to go to each ride and get a fast pass ticket.  I really pissed me off.  I got up at 5:00am in the morning to get to the park with my wife and children by 8:00am and ran to the first ride that I wanted to get on.  Got a fast pass and ran to the next.  Then I tried to get another fast pass and the ticket said I had to wait two hours before I could get another fast pass for any of the rides in the park.  What a disappointment.

  Fast pass is a great addition to Disney.  Make sure to check it out on your next visit.
