  My family loves to go out on vacations and trips. No sooner had we unpacked our bags when the kids would start planning on our next trip together. They enjoy it very much when we go out and travel to places that we have never seen before. They have that adventurous spirit from their mom, my wife who used to travel all over the place before we even got married. As soon as our children was old enough to travel we would go everywhere sightseeing and touring different scenic and historical places.

  Lately there has been a shift in the places that we have been visiting. The last few travels that we have, our destinations have all been theme parks. I guess its because we would like to please our children, so we are letting them choose the places that we will be visiting, but the truth is that we are enjoying it immensely as well, me and my wife. I never thought that theme parks would be this much fun. If only I have known that in the past then theme parks would have been one of the most frequent type of place that we would have visited.

  Now, with all the parks that we have been to, I have gathered a lot of information that can be useful for people who will be visiting those parks off the very first time. One important information is the Disneyland height requirements. My son just made the minimum height requirement for some of the rides there. We were told that we could get a special armband for him that would identify him as someone who can ride because he meets the minimum height requirement. We were able to get that at their customer relations service. I think that that is a very convenient service that saves a lot of hassle.

  As a self professed Disney geek, I take every opportunity to travel down to that magical place in central Florida, often braving the heat, the cold, the rain, and the massive crowds experience things that I have done and seen many times before.  Disney World has an appeal that spans generations, cultures, and ideologies, and is a place where a person can go to forget the cares of their lives and become immersed in an experience like no other.

  Enjoying Eurodisney Paris – the other Disneyland

  Eurodisney Paris, as Disneyland Paris Resort was known when it opened in 1992, seemed destined to failure.

  The French thought it was an awful idea, Americans saw no reason for it, and the general consensus was that it was just plain stupid.  Most critics predicted that it would fold in no time.  But Disney fans failed to get the memo, and Disneyland Paris is France’s most popular tourist attraction.  Fifty million people pass through the gates each year – 40% of whom are French.

  If you love Disneyland in Anaheim or Disneyworld in Orlando, you’ll love the Paris park, which at 5,000 acres is much bigger than the California original.  It has some attractions from Florida, some attractions from California, and some that are exclusive to Eurodisney, as many people still call the park.

  Although it’s located in France, Americans will feel quite comfortable there.  Most signs and displays are in both English and French, and with Sleeping Beauty’s Castle,  Main Street, Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Discoveryland, the layout will seem familiar.

  Although admission isn’t cheap, you can save money by buying multi-day or park-hopper passes.

  Adults who don’t want to spend the day with Mickey and his friends can do some outlet shopping at the outlet mall adjacent to Eurodisney.  It’s also walking distance from the train station.
